The 24th Year (1364) of Zhizheng Period

As Zhu Yuanzhang proclaimed himself king and captured Wuchang, he went to Chen Youliang’s tomb beside the old tower site and paid homage to this dead hero. Besides, Zhu left an inscription “Ren Xiu Tian Ding (Cultivated by Man, Determined by Heaven)” before the tomb.

The 18th Year (1358) of Zhizheng Period

Yongle Palace was built at Ruicheng, Shanxi. There is a fresco Selling Inks at Wuchang in the palace, which depicts how Lü Dongbin transformed into an ink merchant and wandered around the tower. It turns out a sheer proof for the tower’s far-flung influence.

The 3rd Year (1343) of Zhizheng Period

Crown prince Koncak Buqa, titled the King Weishun erected this Lamaist stupa that enshrines ?arīra and Buddhist objects.

Zhiyuan Period (1271-1294)

Emperor Shizu of Yuan along with his troops arrived at Ezhou and enjoyed the breathtaking scenery on Yellow Crane Mountain (Monk Peak). Later in Zhizheng Period, his descendant Emperor Huizong built a grand hall to commemorate the past expedition (The Comprehensive Gazetteer of the Whole World by Chen Xun, Ming Era).
